Comprising of over 100 pieces and focused predominantly on the iconic white, slip-cast designs of the company’s popular post-war consumer culture years, Hartigan’s collection has been lovingly compiled over forty years. It includes many of the shapes and designs New Zealanders have grown to love and cherish and which have become iconic signifiers of New Zealand popular culture.

New Collectors Art & Applied Arts

Art+Object's final New Collectors Art auction of 2020 features a vibrant offering of artworks & ceramics from Aotearoa-New Zealand and international artists, along with a collection of watercolours, paintings and prints from the estate of local artist couple John and June Ritchie.
John Ritchie was the recipient of the QEII Arts Council Grant in 1965 and head of the art department at Auckland Teachers College for many years. He exhibited at John Leech Gallery, and his work is held in the collection of Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki. June Ritchie is predominantly known for her work as a printmaker and also exhibited extensively, especially during the 1970s and 1980s.
