Art+Object’s second Rare Books Auction for 2020 was a varied multi-vendor sale. Highlights from this sale included:

- E. Hardcastle – ‘The Deer of New Zealand’ a very rare pamphlet published by the N.Z. A Govt Dept of Tourism sold for $4080 after a spirited battle between several hopeful purchasers.

- Charles Darwin’s ‘On the Origin of Species’, 3rd edition 1861 sold for $2,000.

- Olio the Gnome by Don Mack illustrated by Theo Schoon, a rare New Zealand children’s title sold for $960 against a presale estimate of $200 - $400.
