Art+Object was pleased to present the first Rare Books auction catalogue of 2021. A highlight of the sale was a copy of Sir Walter Lawry Buller’s ‘A History of the Birds of New Zealand’ 1873 first edition in the rare original full leather binding featuring a gilt notornis on the front cover - this sold for $24,000.

Another highlight was an archive of letters and ephemera from James Benn Bradshaw [1831-1836] one of New Zealand earliest Labour reformers - this sold for $4650.
