Art+Object is pleased to present the first Rare Books auction catalogue of 2021. It features a fantastic selection of early-edition books, rare documents, and historical maps and photographs. We are also privileged to be offering an important collection of military medals including the Military Cross, full size and miniature, uniforms, documents and related items from the estate of Major Henry Russell, MC.

An archive related to James Benn Bradshaw, one of New Zealand’s earliest labour reformers, including historical letters, many associated with the Otago and Australian goldfields, documents and paintings.

A collection of early New Zealand historical maps by Antonio Zatta, Rigobert Bonne, Captain James Cook, John Tallis and others.

Sir Walter Lawry Buller - A History of the Birds of New Zealand, 1st and 2nd editions.

A diarized Hymn Book belonging to the Missionary, Alfred Fairbrother also photographs relating to the eruption of Mt Tarawera.
