The August 2011 ART catalogue differed slightly from A+O's usual Important Paintings catalogues by offering a range of high value major artworks and a judicious selection of lower valued works on paper and domestic scaled sculpture. The result was a busy viewing and an auction of many highlights, not the least of which was a new artist record price for contemporary painter Liz Maw whose large oil on board Colleen was the most significant work by this artist yet offered at auction.
