Important Paintings and in 3D: Sculpture

A+O's final major art catalogue of 2007 concluded our launch year with an offering of sculpture and major canvases by many of New Zealand's leading artists. Rare works by Billya Apple, Neil Dawson, Charlotte Fisher and Bronwynne Cornish were complemented by paintings by Don Driver, Michael Illingworth, Bill Hammond, Tony Fomison, Colin McCahon, Don Binney and Ralph Hotere. One of the highlights was also one of the smallest works by Tony Fomison – an enigmatic small tondo mounted inside an electroplated silver breadboard frame.
