ART+OBJECT's first major art sale of 2016 realised $1 100 000 worth of sales under the hammer. The top selling lot of the night went to Colin McCahon’s classic 1976 work from the Rocks in the Sky series at $298 877, and a new record price was achieved for Richard Killeen’s Rising and Setting which carried the distinguished provenance of coming from the collection of Jim Barr & Mary Barr at $63 315. Several subject offers are currently in negotiation but some of the highlights from last night were:
