Art+Object's first auction of Important Paintings & Contemporary Art of 2025 will take place on April 3 and suitable entries are now invited. 2024 resulted in total Art+Object art sales at auction of 13.72 million and numerous new record prices being sent for artists including: Lisa Reihana, Terry Stringer, Gregor Kregar, Jenny Dolezel, Grace Wright, Rosalie Gascoigne (New Zealand), Jan Nigro and Richard Lewer.

Despite a challenging economy, the New Zealand art market held up well with sales total sales at auction of 40 million. We now look forward to 2025 and invite consignments for our first auction. Early entries include major works by Brent Wong, Frances Hodgkins, Jacqueline Fahey, Judy Millar, Julian Dashper and more.

Appraisal appointments will be available in Christchurch and Wellington in February.
