The Bev & Murray Gow Collection

One of the highlights of A+O's first year. This superb collection represented a lifetime in the art trade and represented almost the entire history of New Zealand art from the mid 1800s. Strong sections of historical photography and mid-century modernism sold but the undoubted highlight was the sale of Ralph Hotere's magnificent 1982 masterpiece Towards Aramoana - the highest price at auction for 2007.
