The Glenn Schaeffer Collection

The Glenn Schaeffer Collection auction took place at Art+Object last night in front of a solid room of bidders, with strong interest also coming from absentee, phone and online bidders. The auction commenced with new record prices at auction for Don Driver's 'Blue and Red Relief' ($48 050), Geoff Thornley's 'Edgings and Inchings of Final Form No. 8' ($36 035) and Judy Millar's 'Untitled' ($43 245). The top price of the evening went to Callum Innes' 'Exposed Painting - Intense Black' at $78 080. The auction resulted in a turnover of $1 250 000 under the hammer.
