The Lois Going Collection Glorious Vision: Art at the Centre of a Life Lived

Art+Object is proud to announce a sale total of $2 772 661 from last evening’s auction. We were delighted with the phenomenal response to the remarkable collection of Lois Going. Following one of our busiest weekend exhibition viewings, the auction witnessed 144 of 147 lots sell under the hammer and new record prices at auction were set for the following artists: Robert Ellis, Barry Lett, Rick Rudd, Barry Brickell, Virginia King, Ross Ritchie and Arthur Dagley. Top price of the evening went to Colin McCahon’s ‘Testimony of Scripture No. 2’ which realised $657 990 against its estimate of $400 000 - $600 000. Art+Object would like to thank Lois Going for her unique vision and dedication as a collector and for her profound support of New Zealand artists.
