The Pycroft Collection of Rare New Zealand, Australian and Pacific Books

The A.T. Pycroft (1875-1971) Collection of Rare Books was assiduously pieced together over seven decades from the 1890s and was referred to as the last great private New Zealand library. A.T. Pycroft corresponded with many of the leading historians and writers of the day including the renowned Walter Buller. The 630 lot Pycroft collection offered over a two day auction attracted enormous media and collector interest resulting in the most successful rare book auction in New Zealand for over three decades.
