Last night's auction of Important Photographs and Contemporary Art resulted in a turnover of $1 113 000 under the hammer. The top price of the evening went to Pat Hanly's Figures in Light No. 12 at $174 175 against an estimate of $100 000 - $160 000, which was repatriated from the United States for sale. New record prices were achieved for Theo Schoon and Lisa Reihana. Some of the preliminary highlights included:
