New Collectors Art
Art+Object's first art sale of the year resulted in turnover under the hammer of $547 045. It was a very healthy start to the year with a large crowd, plenty of telephone and absentee activity making for a great auction, in what is hopefully a portent for another strong year for the New Zealand art market. The top price of the evening went to Tony Fomison's Monkey on your Back which realised $21 620.
