New Zealand and International Studio Pottery

The New Zealand market for applied arts and ceramics goes from strength to strength with sales of over $250 000 recorded for the October catalogue. Numerous highlights were achieved for works by Len Castle, Mirek Smisek, Roy Cowan and the Japanese works from the Gary Winther collection which included superb examples of ceramics by Shoji Hamada and Tatsuzo Shimaoka.
