After an uncertain year, Art+Object finished with a highly successful Rare Books Auction!

A highlight of this sale was a section of titles by Charles Darwin including several first editions. A rare and important entry was an 18th century water-colour of the native Tui. Original water-colour's from this period that feature New Zealand are rarely offered for sale (most being in institutions), so this was a significant entry. This sold for $19,200.

Another highlight was the signed copy of ‘A State of Seige’ by Janet Frame, which sold for $960.
