The Douglas Lloyd-Jenkins Collection of Modern Design & Decorator Items
Douglas Lloyd-Jenkins is the respected director of the Hawkes Bay Museum, an insightful curator and the leading authority on New Zealand mid-century design and applied arts. He is the author of the definitive publication on the subject - (referred to almost on a daily basis at A+O) At Home - A Century of New Zealand Design, published in 2004. The sale of his collection - including rare pieces by Frank Carpay, Mirek Smisek, Garth Chester and John Chrichton - was an event as well a genuine gathering of enthusiasts.
