Don Binney's lifetime commitment to conservation issues and his love of the New Zealand environment, in particular our endangered birds is well known. Before his recent death Don visited Motutapu and prepared drawings to be used as fundraising artworks for the work of the Trust. His final drawing entitled Motutapu Takahe Release III will be auctioned on Thursday 1 November at an event to recognise the important work of the Trust - in the last week Kiwi were re-introduced to the island after an absence of over 100 years.
