Auction Highlights

Art+Object is delighted to report a preliminary sale total of $565 000 from last night's auction of All Possible Worlds: The Peter James Smith Collection. The auction can only be described as very successful and took place before a full room of bidders. Strong bidding featured throughout across the room, via the phone and through the internet bidding platform. The top price of the evening went to Colin McCahon's Light Falling Through a Dark Landscape (illustrated) which sailed beyond its top estimate of $40 000 to make $79 280.
